Instructions for the editorial board
The associate editor interested in publishing a special issue should send a proposal to the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Matemática Contemporânea. This proposal should contain the topic, members of the editorial committee and a list of potential submissions for this special issue. The associate editor should also be committed to the entire peer-review process of the special issue.
After the initial approval by part of the editorial board of the Journal Matemática Contemporânea, the special issue gets under the responsibility of the associate editor of the special issue and its editorial committee, which will evaluate all the contributions, deciding if it is suitable for publication at the journal Matemática Contemporânea. Papers deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of one independent expert reviewer to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The associate editor of the special issue and its editorial committee are responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the articles.
All accepted articles with their respective reports and the Term of Consent to Publish and Copyright Transfer Agreement (pdf / doc) signed by each author should be submitted to the editorial board of the Journal Matemática Contemporânea for their publication.
Instructions for the authors
The submitted articles for possible publication at the Journal Matemática Contemporânea should be prepared in english and in LaTeX format, following one of the available templates: template 1 (with bibtex) and template 2 (without bibtex). The PDF file of the article should also be submitted. Pictures and tables should be numbered and cited in the articles using the respective numbers. The file of the pictures and tables should be submitted in EPS (Encapsulated PosScript) format. Notice that all necessary files have been uploaded together with the submitted manuscript: keywords, all figures (include relevant captions), all tables (including titles, description, footnotes); please ensure all figure and table citations in the text match the files provided, supplemental files (where applicable).
All the authors that have received the acceptance of the articles for publication at the Journal Matemática Contemporânea should sign the Term of Consent to Publish and Copyright Transfer Agreement.
Please clearly indicate the given name(s) and family name(s) of each author and check that all names are accurately spelled. Add the authors’ affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done) in the end of the article. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name, the e-mail address and the ORCId, when it is available, of each author.
The list of references contained in the paper should be in alphabetic and chronological order, and the abbreviations for the names of the journals as well as the references of the book should use as model the abbreviations employed by Mathematical Reviews.
